Your First Appointment
Here's what to expect when you come in for your initial psychiatric evaluation.
Before You Arrive
Complete your intake paperwork online before your appointment. Gather any relevant medical records, a list of current medications, and notes about your symptoms or concerns.
The Evaluation
Your first visit is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation lasting approximately 60–90 minutes. We'll discuss your mental health history, current symptoms, life circumstances, and goals for treatment.
Your Care Plan
At the end of your evaluation, we'll discuss our findings and work together to develop an initial treatment plan. This may include medication, referrals, and follow-up scheduling.
Follow-Up Care
Follow-up appointments are typically 30 minutes and focus on monitoring your progress, adjusting your treatment plan, and addressing any new concerns.
